The combination of multiple access points (outputs of various mixes), wave-folding, and compression allow for an extremely wide array of signal processing, including complex chorus-like sounds.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAll three channels are identical and can operate independently. They can also be cascaded (connected in series) to obtain double and triple wave-folding. The compressor at the front-end of each channel allows for not only unique wave-shaping, but the ability to send asymmetrical wave-shaped signals through multiple wave-fold stages while preserving a better managed signal process.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eWith individual outputs for each channel, a master mix (and master level control), as well as three matrix mix outputs as: “MIX 1+2” (1 OUT + 2 OUT), “MIX 2+3” (2 OUT + 3 OUT), “MIX 1+3” (1 OUT + 3 OUT), the AWM-3 is wave-shaper, signal processor, and multi-mode mixer.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eEach channel has independent positive and negative control over wave-shaping, including CV inputs, CV attenuation, bias (wave-fold threshold), and level (wave-fold volume). Each channel also has a dry level control. Between the dry level, positive wave-fold level, and negative wave-fold level controls, many variations of wave-shaping are possible.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAll CV inputs will accept LFO or audio-rate frequencies. The main signal path is DC-coupled. Each dry signal throughput can be amplified up to +6dB (2 times the input signal) and has a buffered output.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eWith the addition of a VCA inserted before the AWM-3 (i.e. VCO \u0026gt; VCA \u0026gt; AWM-3), dynamic wave-folding opens up a high degree of variation for automatic wave-shaping. The discrete diode filter circuit is inspired by the 1970s Univox Mini-Korg synthesizer's \"Traveler\" filter section which provides warm, organic sound to your modular system. However, this design was not only adapted for Eurorack, but is feature enhanced for a wide array of possible filter characteristics.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eA stage boost switch allows you to drive the 2nd filter section (Low-Pass) with a +5.3 dB signal boost from the High-Pass output signal creating a warm saturation and varied resonance to signal ratio\/dynamics. Independent manual resonance controls per filter section allows you to fine-tune a wide variety of focused sound. Input and Output level controls allow you to optimize dynamic range, including how hard you drive the filter--which drastically changes the dynamic interplay between signal and harmonic resonance. Both High-Pass and Low-Pass circuits have independent cutoff controls. Independent CV inputs for cutoff and resonance of each filter section, and attenuation\/gain for CV to cutoff provide superior control over filter behavior. The VCF-74 can be set up as a Low-Pass, High-Pass, or Band-Pass filter.
