Originally hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Akane Nakamura brings a unique perspective to Vintage King as both the only female sales representative and our direct connection to our clientele in Asia. Akane started out as a pianist at age 3 (she still plays today), but after seeing recording engineers being interviewed on TV, she decided to be the one at the console and went off to study recording at Kogakuin College in Japan.
東京出身の中村あかねはVintage King でただ一人の女性セールスであり、日本、アジアの顧客と直接やりとりができる彼女は 特別な存在となっている。 3歳からピアノを習い始め（現在も）音楽に興味を持っていた彼女は、テレビでレコーディングエンジニアという職業に出会い、 エンジニアになる為の技術を習得しに進学。
After college, Akane served as an engineer at the SAM recording studio in Tokyo, all the while mapping out a plan to achieve her lifelong dream of working at a Los Angeles recording studio. Eventually, Akane left Japan in order to further her studies at the L.A. Recording Workshop in hopes of developing relationships with some of the city’s top facilities. Her hard work ultimately paid off and she attained a chair behind the console at the legendary Mix Room in Burbank, CA, whose expansive client list includes Velvet Revolver, Madonna, Usher, Luther Vandross, Journey and Kid Rock to name a select few.
卒業後、東京にあったSAM Recording Studioで働き始め、アメリカLos Angelesのスタジオで働くという夢を叶える為に渡米。 アメリカのスタジオで働けるチャンスを掴む為、Los Angeles Recording Workshopに入学。 その努力が実り、Velvet Revolver,Madonna,Usher,Luther Vandross,Journey やKid Rock 等の一流アーティストを顧客にもつ Burbank CAにあるThe Mic Roomで勤め始める。
Upon relocating to Detroit, Akane engineered at F.B.T. Productions and 54 Sound, where she is proud to have worked on Eminem's Grammy-nominated album, The Marshall Mathers EP. While at 54 Sound, Akane became familiar with Vintage King (whose headquarters were right next door) and, as fate would have it, the company was looking to expand into the Asian market. Akane was a natural fit, thanks to not just her nationality, but also her vast knowledge of audio recording.
デトロイトに移った後、F.B.T Productionsと 54 Soundでエンジニアとして働き、 その時にグラミー賞にノミネートされたEminemのアルバムThe Marshall Mathers EPに参加。 機材を良く見に来ていた彼女と、54Soundの隣にあって、アジアンマーケットへの拡大を模索していたVintage Kingは 国籍はもちろん、レコーディングの知識もある彼女との存在とそして彼女をメンバーとして加えることは自然な流れだった。
Akane has now been with Vintage King since 2005 and continues to oversee sales in Japan and Asia. When she's not in the office, she enjoys working on home improvement projects and being a part of her daughter’s figure skating training with a hope of living in Prague someday.
2005年からVintage King で日本、アジアセールスを担当しているが、休みの時は家のリノベーションをしたり、 娘のフィギュアスケートのトレーニングの手伝いをするのが楽しみで、いつかPragueに住みたいという野望を持っている。
